Judy founded Heroes to Heroes in March 2010 in tribute to her father, Irving M. Isaacson, a World War II veteran, as a way to honor the service of all veterans, especially those with Moral Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Before joining Heroes to Heroes in a full-time capacity, Judy spent thirty years in media sales and management and on Wall Street as a Financial Advisor. Judy’s volunteer experience in the non-profit world includes the White House Task Force for Moving Veterans into Trucking, New Jersey Women’s Political Caucus ( PAC Co-chair), Teaneck Township (NJ) Financial Advisory Board, and Chairperson of the Women’s Circle at Chabad of Boynton Beach. She is on the Advisory Board of Friends of Kidum, an organization that helps underprivileged Israeli and Arab children get the education they deserve.
Judy has been featured in the documentary “Pay Attention”, which focuses on entrepreneurs
and how they think, and has been featured in many broadcast and print media outlets.
Keila brings her 20 years of experience in social services including as Director of Operations at New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services and Quality Monitor Consultant for the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services to help build the size and scope of Heroes to Heroes. Keila is the ideal person to work the plan through systems and hire the right people. She has expertise in working with multi-million-dollar grants. Keila will be overseeing the program. All Engagement Leads will report to her and she will manage personnel and make sure all staff is trained properly and the program is running smoothly, overseeing quality control and mitigating challenges.
After 20+ years in the Navy, and participating in the Heroes to Heroes journey, Omar has worked as the Heroes to Heroes Program Director for more than five years. He has helped grow the program from serving thirty-six veterans per year to serving seventy-two veterans per year. Omar is in the best position to take Heroes to Heroes to the next level with training and guidance from our resources.
Michael Haltman is the owner of Hallmark Abstract Service, a provider of title insurance for residential and commercial real estate transactions in New York. Michael earned both his M.B.A. in Finance (1984) and B.S. in Economics (1980) from SUNY/Albany and has worked as a bond analyst, bond trader, and in various capacities within the real estate industry. He focuses much of his time and energy on philanthropic endeavors such as the Long Island Fight for Charity.
Jared Levy is an equity and managing partner of KAP Planning, LTD, where his practice is focused on risk management and estate planning for ultra-high net worth clients and small business owners. Jared is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), MDRT’s Top of the Table, and The Estate Advisory Group. He is also a member of the Jewish National Fund’s Wall Street Society and a member of the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU). He also founded The Trusted Advisor Group (TAG) and is a board member of the Estate Planning Council of New York City. Jared earned a BS degree in Economics from SUNY Albany and a University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School Certificate in Retirement Planning. He has also received his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from America College and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. He recently attended the AXA Institute at Harvard University.
Retired NJ family law attorney. Paratrooper and Served in Combat with 2nd/12th FIRST CAVALRY AIRBORNE DIVISION in Vietnam in 1966.
Witnessed men in combat who were or are now on the path to attempt suicide or self-destruction due to moral injury and PTSD is involved with Heroes to Heroes since he sees that veterans benefit by taking part in the Heroes to Heroes program.

PAC Chairman of Teamsters Joint Council No. 73, US Army Veteran. As PAC Chairman, Mr. Nolan was responsible for influencing legislation affecting the Teamsters in New Jersey. In this role, he raised significant funds for the Wounded Warriors Project, Australia House, an organization that helps terminally ill children by providing them with their dream experiences, the Food Bank of New Jersey, and many other organizations to provide aid to our most vulnerable citizens.
Lawrence Shindell is the Chief Executive Officer of LMI Group, a firm dedicated to the arts and cultural heritage sector through private sector investment management and by applying its technical expertise to large-scale cultural heritage projects.
Lawrence is a lawyer by background, holding licenses in a number of U.S. jurisdictions including admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. He has provided expert testimony before the United States Tax Court and the United States Congress, House Financial Services Committee on art industry-related issues.
Although Lawrence never served in the military, he is a former public prosecutor, his father was a medical officer in the U.S. Army, and his younger son is a Major, lawyer and section Commander in the Israeli Defense Force’s Manpower Directorate and formerly served in the IDF’s Military Advocate General’s Corps.

Meredith Smulian Kaim is the Founder and President of Media Artiste LLC, a media and marketing agency. Meredith has a BS degree in Art from NYU. She has capitalized on her creative abilities and natural analytical and quantitative skills to design successful media campaigns for national clients at many New York Advertising Agencies. She combines her design and creative experience with a keen eye on her client’s financial realities to create highly effective campaigns that exceed expectations. Early on in Meredith’s career, she has always embraced opportunities to help others. She is honored to bring her enthusiasm, experience, and skills to address the needs of returning United States Veterans through her work with Heroes to Heroes.
Marc provides tax, estate, financial, and retirement planning services to high-net-worth individuals and business owners in the health care, investment banking, real estate, and professional services industries. Marc’s more than 30 years of public accounting experience span a range of tax, personal finance, business advisory, and practice management expertise. Often invited to speak to medical societies and healthcare groups, he has served as an adjunct Healthcare Economics professor in Hofstra University’s Master of Healthcare Administration program. Marc has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the State University of New York at Albany, and a Master of Business Administration in Accountancy and Taxation from Hofstra University.
Corey Tucker is a partner in the law firm of Luman Tucker LLP with offices located in White Plains, New York. His firm specializes in commercial real estate transactions primarily in the New York/ New Jersey area. Corey has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Delaware and is also a graduate of Brooklyn Law School. He is looking forward to working with such a great team that serves our veterans in need of assistance.
Deborah A. Carman is the founder of the Carman Law Firm, P.A., a South Florida law firm located in Boca Raton. Ms. Carman has been in practice in the State of Florida for over 35 years, where she is engaged in civil practice, with an emphasis on Business Closings, Corporate Work, and Real Estate.
Dr. J. Irene Harris is a licensed Psychologist at the VA Bedford HealthCare System, and a clinician-investigator for the VISN1 Mental Illness Research, Education, and Clinical Center. Most of Dr. Harris’s research is focused on spiritually integrated care for PTSD and moral injury. She specializes in leading randomized clinical trials and held leadership roles on at least 5 clinical trials involving spiritually integrated care. She has developed the Building Spiritual Strength program, one of the most used moral injury interventions in the VA system. In addition to work in this area, Dr. Harris has published in the literatures on addiction, peer support, pain, and stigmad services.
